Leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) has hinted that the Sunrise Gold variant of the Samsung Galaxy S9 may arrive in the U.S.. The new model was recently launched in Korea, but Samsung hasn’t yet confirmed U.S. availability.

Replying to a tweet from The Verge which said the gold and burgundy models wouldn’t be released Stateside, Blass replied “Oh yeah?” and posted some renders of gold model.

Unlike the Korean devices at the top of the page, Blass’ renders include the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus model names on their respective rears — something that only appears on U.S. Samsung variants, Blass informed me.

The Burgundy Red model is slated to go on sale in China and Korea this month, while the gold model will land in a few more markets from June. We can only speculate for the moment, but if one of the devices was to hit the U.S., it looks like it would be the gold version.

The Sunrise Gold and Burgandy Red models join the existing Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple Galaxy S9 variants; the models are identical in everything but color.
