TL;DR
  • Samsung will reportedly launch the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in August.
  • The release timeline is in line with when Samsung would usually launch new Galaxy Note series phones.

Samsung’s next batch of Galaxy phones could launch just in time to fill the gap of the missing Galaxy Note series this year. The company is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in August.

According to Korean news outlet Yonhap, Samsung is in talks with local mobile carriers in its home market to release the aforementioned Galaxy phones around late August.

This latest Galaxy S21 FE release timeline lines up with what was revealed by a leaked Samsung roadmap that pegged the phone’s launch for August 19. It also means that the new Fan Edition will launch earlier than its predecessor which was unveiled in September last year.

Meanwhile, a previous report suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 would launch in July. The foldable phones are supposed to replace the Galaxy Note series this year, complete with S Pen support for increased usability. To that effect, it makes sense for Samsung to launch the phones in August, given that it’s usually when we would see new Note devices.

Samsung has not given us any hints about the new Galaxies until now, but rumors and leaks have painted quite a decent picture of what we can expect.
