Will it eventually sell a premium cloth of its own in 2022 though?

TL;DR
  • Samsung has announced a free cleaning cloth offer.
  • The offer is seemingly available in Germany only.
  • It comes after Apple announced a $19 cleaning cloth last month.

Apple made some big announcements last month as it revealed new Arm-powered Macbook laptops. But another announcement that gained attention was a cleaning cloth for a rather pricey $19.

Now, Samsung has seemingly taken aim at Apple’s cleaning cloth with an offer of its own. Galaxy Club (h/t: Mobile Syrup) spotted a promotion in the Samsung Members app, dishing out a free cleaning cloth to the first 1,000 people who sign up for the offer.

A screenshot posted by the outlet (seen above) shows that the cleaning cloth measures in at 20cm x 20cm, making it larger than Apple’s cloth. It seems like this promotion is only available in Germany now, so everyone else just has to spend a couple of bucks on a cleaning cloth or two.

It wouldn’t be the first time Samsung mocked Apple though. The Galaxy maker took aim at Apple over the headphone port being dropped from the iPhone 7 and Apple’s continued use of a notch.

Then again, Samsung has since dropped the 3.5mm port on its phones and a leaked render shows an upcoming Galaxy tablet will gain a notch too. So that makes us wonder whether this is a prelude to Samsung offering a premium-priced cleaning cloth of its own in 2022.
