The makers of the PowerUp 2.0 uncontrolled paper airplane module have stepped up their game, adding mobile device controls and longer battery life, to help you achieve new heights.

In the prime of our childhood – or adult – paper airplane crafting careers, we’ve all worked toward extending our flight times and dreamed of flying forever. Forever may yet be unattainable, but 10 minutes is now in reach. Add to this the ability to remotely control your paper airplane using your Android device, and you will be pleased to know that the Kickstarter campaign for the PowerUp 3.0 – Smartphone Controlled Paper Airplane was successfully funded and you can now find the tool for extended flight on their website.

The device is powered by a rechargeable battery, good for 10 minutes per charge, runs a coin sized BLE chip, capable of keeping your device Bluetooth connected up to 180 feet away, and has a very fun companion app for that extra excitement.

A minimum contribution of $30 would have put this beauty in your hands during the campaign, $49.99 lets you pre-order now for a June 2014 delivery.

Is 10 minutes of flight worth $30 to you?
