TL;DR
  • Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10T 5G in India.
  • The affordable 5G phone packs a Dimensity 700 SoC, a 5,000mAh battery, and an adaptive 90Hz display.
  • It will start at Rs 13,999 (~$187) when it lands later this month.

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 10T 5G in India, bolstering its mid-range offerings in the region and giving users a new affordable 5G option.

If you’re familiar with the Redmi Note 10 5G, there’s nothing too new here. The Redmi Note 10T 5G is effectively a rebadged version of that device. This isn’t a bad thing, especially if your end goal is to purchase a cheap 5G phone.

Up front, there’s a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD with an adaptive refresh rate, an 8MP center-aligned punch hole camera, and a sizeable bottom bezel. Internally, the Redmi Note 10T 5G sports a Dimensity 700 SoC (with dual-SIM 5G support) mated to UFS 2.2 storage. A 5,000mAh battery and 18W charging power the package. There’s a triple rear camera at the rear, with a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Other useful features include a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the side, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

This isn’t a combo that’ll turn many heads, and the 4G Redmi Note 10 variant actually packs better specs. Still, Xiaomi’s hoping users will be attracted by the 5G potential here despite the tech lacking wide availability in India.

Redmi Note 10T 5G: Price and availability

So how much will the Redmi Note 10T 5G cost in India? Xiaomi is focusing on value here, so prices sit well below the Rs 20,000 mark.

The 4GB/64GB variant will come in at Rs 13,999 (~$187), while the 6GB/128GB option is priced at Rs 15,999 (~$213), arguably making it the better value deal. Notably, both prices are “introductory offers,” so don’t be too surprised if these prices jump slightly after launch.

Colorways on offer include Mint Green, Metallic Blue, Chromium White, and Graphite Black. Both RAM/storage options will be available from July 26 from Xiaomi’s stores, Amazon India, and other retailers.

Overall, this pricing structure places the Redmi Note 10T 5G right up against the realme 8 5G, which starts at Rs 14,999 (~$200). Both phones share similar specs.
