Remember when HTC announced the One back in February? There was a red version of the device listed on their website, but hours later it was taken down, never to be seen again. Now, it seems to have reappeared, only this time Sprint is announcing that they’ll be carrying it exclusively.

The smartphone in “red hot” will go up for sale on Aug. 16 for $199.99 on a new two-year contract with the carrier. Not only that, but Sprint is spicing things up with a buy one, get one free deal. This also begins on Aug. 16, but only lasts until Aug. 30.

It’s a pretty sweet deal. You can get yourself a fancy new red HTC One, along with an additional One for free in either silver, black, or red. Of course, it’s not entirely free. After all, you are signing up for a new two-year contract for each phone. At least you get the base model for free.

With this announcement, Sprint detailed a new partnership with NextRadio to bring FM service to the One and several new devices in the coming years. I’m pretty sure most of us will continue using Pandora or Spotify despite this addition, though.

Do you plan on getting a new red HTC One from Sprint? Do color choices have an impact on what carriers you use?
