Plants vs Zombies 2 gets an update, sees the return of Doctor Zomboss

Plants vs Zombies 2 has been available on Android for just a few months, and in that short time it has already become a pretty big success in its own right. For fans of the original game, however, you’ll be happy to know that a new update is bringing back the main villain, Doctor Zomboss.

According to the change-log, Zomboss can be found in a new Ancient Egypt level, and is expected to eventually show up in the other time periods as well. Aside from the addition of Doctor Zomboss, there’s also a new power called “Snowball Power” that lets you freeze all the zombies on the map, making them completely immobile for a limited time.

While this isn’t a huge update, it’s still a welcome enough change and helps keep things interesting. To grab Plants vs Zombies 2, or to update your existing copy, you’ll want to head on over to Google Play.
