New pictures show off the Huawei Ascend D2, Ascend Mate, and the W1 Windows Phone

CES 2013 is right around the corner and a few OEMs are expecting to have a mammoth year. One such OEM is Huawei, who has three flagship devices ready to be announced. Take a sneak peak at them now.
January 1, 2013
Before a phone or tablet is officially released, blogs around the internet like to put up pictures of what they may look like. These can come in the form of leaked pictures from employees or mark ups based on descriptions. While it’s cool to put a face to the name of a product, early mark ups can be completely off base with that the product actually looks like. There are now some official pictures of the Ascend D2, the Ascend Mate, and the Huawei W1.

The Huawei Ascend D2, a flagship device

Pictured above is the Ascend D2. So far it’s rumored to be coming with a 5 inch, full HD display, a 1.5GHz quad core processor, and a 13MP camera. This is definitely a flagship phone and, upon its release, will be among the most feature rich Android phones out there.

The Huawei Ascend Mate, a record breaking phablet

This device, according to Unwired View, will be a record breaker. It’ll sport a ridiculous 6 inch, 720p display and likely a 3800mAh battery. When not using it as a phone, you can put it on the ground and ride it as a sleigh.

Huawei W1 Windows Phone, because why not?

Last on the official picture list is the W1 Windows Phone. Aside from coming in a number of fashionable colors, it’ll also have a 1.2GHz quad core processor and a 2000mAh battery. As Unwired View notes, Huawei will be the fourth OEM to ship a phone running Windows Phone 8. What Unwired View doesn’t say, though, is that Huawei makes it looks good.

All of these devices are set to be officially announced and demoed at CES 2013. Could these be the devices Huawei uses to create a more global presence? Let us know what you think about them.
