Phones with wireless charging make life easier. They save you from worrying about cables — just drop your phone on a pad and watch everything light up. Not to mention charging ports suffer from wear and tear the more you plug and unplug them. If you want to bid your charging cable farewell, here are the best phones with wireless charging capabilities.

Wireless charging is mainly available on high-end phones with glass or plastic backs — metal and wireless charging typically don’t mix. Not every flagship has the technology, but it’s becoming much more available. Phones with the feature either support the PMA or Qi standard, although Qi is the more popular choice.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is all the hype, and it will easily be among the most popular line-ups of the year. All three devices — the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra — feature wireless charging and double up as power banks for your wireless accessories, thanks to reverse wireless charging. This is just the tip of the iceberg, though! Samsung has gone all out and equipped its latest flagship series with many powerful specs and features.

Among all these awesome features is wireless charging. All three devices support it. And while wired charging varies depending on which of the three versions you get, wireless charging is identical across the board. All Galaxy S23 versions can charge wirelessly at up to 15W.

There is a trick to reaching these speeds, though. You can only charge at 15W using an official Samsung wireless charger with an active cooling fan. You’ll have to conform with 10W wireless charging if you’re using other Qi chargers. We have put together a list of the best Samsung Galaxy S23 chargers, to help you find the optimal option.

Otherwise, all three phones are spectacular devices. They come with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 8-12GB of RAM, gorgeous Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz displays, and fantastic camera experiences.

Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel 7a

No best list of Android devices is complete without Google’s flagships. The search giant followed up on the smash hit Pixel 6 series with a lucky number seven. Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro look and feel even better, and they right a few of our issues with their predecessors.

Of course, both devices are among the best phones with wireless charging. Not only that, but both support fast wireless charging. The Pixel 7 has 21W wireless charging, while the Pro version takes things up a notch with 23W. Just keep in mind that not all chargers can reach these speeds. Wireless charging is, of course, only the tip of the iceberg. Both devices come with the improved Tensor G2 chipset and either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The AMOLED screens are gorgeous, and you get a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate, depending on the version you get. Throw in the impressive camera performance Google devices are known for, and you got yourself a winning equation.

Now, if you feel like the other Pixel 7 devices are a bit too pricey, you can also consider the Google Pixel 7a. Google announced it at Google I/O 2023, and it’s an instant hit. Wireless charging is actually a very exciting feature here, as the Pixel 6a didn’t have it. It’s also a great phone in other departments. We loved its camera, performance, design, and improved 90Hz refresh rate.

By the way, you may want to consider waiting a bit if you want something a bit more special than the Pixel 7 series. Google announced the Pixel Fold at Google I/O 2023. It’s the company’s first foldable phone, and it also has wireless charging. It will be available in June, but you can already pre-order it from Google. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 isn’t only one of the best phones with wireless charging; it’s also one of the coolest ones! You can’t deny that the design alone makes you want to own it. The flip phone is back, with a flexible display and much more potent than ever.

You’ll find the device plenty capable, bringing specs like a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and 8GB of RAM. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is gorgeous and comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Despite the design’s many moving parts, Samsung kept IPX8 certification, making it water-resistant.

Of course, we can’t ignore the almighty Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, either. The device is one of the most expensive mainstream handsets we’ve seen in a long time, but it’s also among the most innovative and powerful. Instead of folding in like the Z Flip 4, it folds out into a tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 made no sacrifices in terms of specs. It has a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. The 7.6-inch inner display comes with a 2.176 x 1,812 resolution, as well as an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The outer screen is much smaller at 6.2 inches, but it still features an excellent AMOLED panel and 120Hz refresh rates. You’ll also get a 4,400mAh battery and a triple-camera setup.

As for their wireless charging technology, it’s not as fast as some of the other phones here, but you can still charge at 15W without plugging in physically.

Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Ultra

The Xiaomi 13 series is out. The only downside is that these phones aren’t as widely available as we would wish. That said, they can be easily imported, even to the USA. If you can get your hands on the Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Pro, you’re in for a treat.

Both devices have specs that compete with giants like the Galaxy S23 series. These include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 8-12GB of RAM, as much as 512GB of storage, triple-camera setups, and large batteries.

These devices are also exceptional in terms of wireless charging. They actually support 50W wireless charging. You’ll need Xiaomi’s 50W Wireless Charging Stand if you want to reach those speeds, though. It comes with a cooling fan and a gorgeous design, if that helps.

Now, if you can actually find a Xiaomi 13 Ultra, that’s easily the best of the bunch. The device makes no sacrifices, offering impressive specs, a gorgeous design, and four 50MP cameras. It also supports blazing fast 90W charging speeds, as well as 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus 10 Pro

OnePlus wasn’t big on wireless charging, but the latest devices have improved when juicing up without cables. The OnePlus 10 Pro is impressive in this department, offering 50W wireless charging with its official dock. This means it can take your phone from zero to over 50% in just 15 minutes!

The device is no lackluster in every other department, either. It touts a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8-12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The display is large at 6.7 inches, and the QHD+ LTPO2 Fluid AMOLED has a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery is pretty large at 5,000mAh. Around the back, the camera system features three shooters and Hasselblad color theory calibration.

Nothing is perfect, though, and the OnePlus 10 Pro has its downsides. The most important one is that it comes with no IP certification. Of course, you can read all about the phone in our OnePlus 10 Pro review.

The OnePlus 11 is out now, but sadly, it comes with no wireless charging.

Sony Xperia 1 IV

This is the best phone from Sony you can currently get. The Xperia 1 IV was announced back in May and offers high-end specs as well as loads of bells and whistles power users will enjoy.

You get a large 4K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, one of the fastest available chipsets, a headphone jack, and even a microSD card slot. The battery comes in at 5,000mAh and supports 30W charging, getting it up to 50% in 30 minutes, according to Sony. It’s an excellent phone for creators, offering super camera autofocus, stellar video capture, and a few unique content-creator apps. The speakers are great as well.

Sony’s flagship also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, wireless charging at 15W, and a 21:9 aspect ratio that makes it quite tall and slim. The biggest drawback of the device is its price, which comes in at $1,600 MSRP.

If you want to save a bit of cash, you can opt for the Sony Xperia 5 IV. It’s still not a cheap phone, but it offers a great high-end experience and comes with wireless charging, too. Alternatively, you might want to wait a bit more for the Sony Xperia 1 V, which was already announced and will be launching in July. You can already pre-order it from Amazon.

Apple iPhone 14 series

Thus far, we’ve stuck with Android devices in our best wireless charging roundup, but we have to tip our cap to Apple’s iPhone 14 family. This year, the flagship range consists of 4 devices: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are almost identical, with the most significant difference being the screen and battery sizes. They are minor upgrades over their predecessor, even sporting the same chipset. They also look the same, still featuring a big notch up top.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are also almost the same devices, with the exception of having different screen sizes and battery capacities. They are a bigger upgrade over their predecessors, though, featuring an improved camera, an always-on display, the latest A16 Bionic chipset, and the new Dynamic Island.

All four iPhones support 15W Magsafe wireless charging and 7.5W Qi wireless charging.

Apple iPhone SE (2022)

If you don’t want to spend too much money, the iPhone SE is still a great device with wireless charging. It gets a downgrade compared to the iPhone 14 series, though. The iPhone SE doesn’t attach magnetically to Magsafe chargers, and doesn’t support 15W wireless charging. Instead, you have to settle with 7.5W.

The good news is that the phone is pretty affordable for an iPhone, with a $429 MSRP. That’s a great deal considering you get an Apple A15 Bionic, which is the same processor found in the iPhone 13 series, as well as the non-pro versions of the iPhone 14 series.

It also gets 4GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, a smaller 4.7-inch Retina Display, and a pretty good camera. It even comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust protection. This is rare to get in affordable handsets.
