Since it’s launch in November of 2010, Path has been serving the needs of those looking for a social network experience that is less about “friending” people in mass and more about keeping connected to family and close friends.

Although the messaging and photo sharing social network has had a mobile app for quite a while, for years the iOS version has had a pretty big advantage over the Android version, namely it supported the ability to record and share videos. Android fans of Path will be happy to know that this has finally been rectified with Path 3.4.

The new video feature allows you to capture up to 30 seconds of video and can then use a range of filters to enhance the vid before you share it to your private timeline. Although the feature is certainly welcome on Android, it’s a bit frustrating that it took so long to get here. No other changes are mentioned for the app, though we imagine there are probably at least a few minor bug fixes.

To check out Path 3.4 for yourself, or to download the update, you’ll want to head over to Google Play.
