Paranoid Android 4.6 Beta 4 “Humble Huckleberry” arrives

PA 4.6 Beta 4, the latest Paranoid Android update, has arrived bringing a few changes and overall speed improvements and bug fixes as well.
October 8, 2014

PA 4.6 Beta 4, the latest update to the Paranoid Android project, has now arrived bringing two significant changes, first a more unified edit mode for quick settings and the second being the addition of a new default AOSPA wallpaper.

Starting with the first of these new features, the PA team has gotten rid of the split between standard and temporary titles “like remote display/cast tile and the alarm tile.” As the PA team states, “you can now hide those tiles and move them around to reorganize the screen just as you want it to be.” As for the wallpaper, it will be available as the first item on Google Now Launcher backgrounds list and will be visible as part of the “backgrounds” app choice in other launchers like Nova.

While those are the two biggest changes, the PA log also mentions the following:

  • Improve speed and stability of the core
  • Adapt to the Peek standalone application package name change

The latest PA beta release is available right now for download on recent Nexus devices and all the way back to Galaxy Nexus. Additionally, you can also grab it for the OnePlus One and Oppo Find 7.
