The Paranoid Android project is continuing its steady release calendar with PA 4.6 Beta 3, dubbed “Solid Strawberry.” (It looks like PA adopted an Ubuntu-like naming scheme for releases)

Like Paranoid Android 4.6 Beta 2 from last week, Solid Strawberry is focused on bringing some more polish to the marquee features of the PA project, including the Recents interface and the dynamic system bars (DSB), as well as bug fixes.

The main changes concern the DSB icon animation, which received a cleanup, and the ability to dismiss recent apps by tapping anywhere outside of the thumbnails. As with every release, upstream changes to the CyanogenMod Theme Engine have been merged into this latest beta.

Here’s the changelog, as per PA:

  • Clean up DSB icon animations
  • Crop thumbnails of portrait floating windows
  • Dismiss the redesigned recents menu on touches outside of the thumbnails
  • Tweak the design of the volume panel and Pie QS toggles
  • Merge Theme Engine changes by CM.

As always, the latest PA beta release is available for download for modern Nexus devices (including Galaxy Nexus), as well as the OnePlus One and the Find 7. Users of other devices should check the Legacy projects, which are builds for devices that aren’t officially supported by PA.
