Pandora for Android introduces personalized station recommendations

Apparently January is a good month to be a Pandora user that rocks an Android device. Earlier this month, Android users were treated to a new update that brought us an alarm clock feature, and now Pandora is bringing its listeners personalized radio recommendations.
How this works is pretty simple: every time you create a new radio station, up to six recommendations will appear at the bottom of the screen, giving you suggestions of additional artist channels that might interest you. The same suggestions will also appear at the bottom of your station list. The recommendations will regularly change based on the stations you add (or remove), as well as the songs you “thumbs up”.
This is a pretty nice way to shake up your music collection, going beyond just giving us new songs in our existing artist channels. Sure, it’s not necessarily a killer feature, but it’s still a welcome enough change. Aside from the new recommendations feature, there doesn’t seem that Pandora has anything else new in store for us just yet, though they do promise to continue to expand and refine their recommendations going forward.
What do you think of the new feature, like the suggestions it’s giving you or not?
