Oppo N3 teased for October, then outed in leaked press images
Oppo has been cryptically teasing something over the past few days, and its latest image finally reveals a little bit about what the Chinese manufacturer has in store for us.
The Oppo N3, as implied by the teaser, is likely to be a successor to last year’s Oppo N1 – a large 5.9 inch handset with high-end specs and a crazy swivelling camera. We can probably expect that the N3 will be a similar high-end affair, with Oppo promising that the new handset will be “One More Step” forward.
Although we don’t have any confirmed hardware details for the Oppo N3 at the moment, a couple of leaked press images have appeared online today, sent to GSMArena courtesy of an “anonymous tipster”. At first glance, it is a bit of a weird and wonderful design, which appears to have a more elegant metallic looking finish that the N1.
The signature rotating camera design can also be spotted at the top, allowing for high quality selfies and the like, but housed in a cylindrical module this time around. Placing the bulkier camera component at the top of the handset looks to have allowed Oppo to slim down the rest of the smartphone considerably, which should make the large screen a little easier to handle. Keen observers will also be able to spot a dual LED flash unit accompanying the N3’s camera, a feature which was also included in its predecessor.
Oppo will been unveiling full details of the N3 in Singapore sometime in October, although an exact date has not yet been specified.
