TL;DR
  • OnePlus’ first tablet could be powered by Android 12L.
  • It’s expected to launch in the first half of this year.

Rumors about a OnePlus tablet have been floating around since last year. Trademark filings previously revealed that it could be called the OnePlus Pad. Now, a new leak has spilled some more information about the device’s software.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar and folks over at 91Mobiles, the OnePlus Pad will ship with Android 12L on board. The new OS is specifically designed for tablets, foldable, and other large-screen devices. It’s still in the beta testing phase and the final version is expected to drop sometime in Q1 this year, presumably March.

91Mobiles previously reported that the OnePlus Pad could also launch in the first half of 2022. If that’s the case, the company could be planning to bring its first tablet to market around the same time as Google’s Android 12L release.
