Take this with a grain of salt: OnePlus 7 Pro allegedly leaks via Weibo

We’ve seen several OnePlus 7 leaks hitting the internet already, but a rather interesting leak via Weibo shows what is allegedly the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The leak, spotted by GSMArena, shows what appears to be a OnePlus phone with a full-screen, dual-curved display. The full-screen design seems in line with previous leaks, although this might be the first time we get a close look at the curved edge.

What’s arguably more noteworthy is a look at the “about phone” section, showing plenty of supposed specifications. This includes a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 6.67-inch “Super Optic” display (presumably OLED to support in-display fingerprint sensors).

Furthermore, the page also lists a 48MP+16MP+8MP triple rear camera setup. We don’t get a look at the rear of the device in these pictures, but it wouldn’t be unexpected for the firm to hop on the 48MP and/or triple camera bandwagon.

Otherwise, the page also lists the OnePlus 7 Pro name, Android Pie, a build number, and a model number (GM1915). The latter bucks the trend of OnePlus phones having a model number starting with ‘A’ (e.g. A6000 for the OnePlus 6 and A6010 for the OnePlus 6T). GSMArena reckons this is evidence that we’re looking at the beginning of an all-new, 5G-enabled lineup.

There are still a couple of reasons to be skeptical at this stage though. For one, why don’t we see any photos of the back of the device or the pop-up selfie camera? Then there’s the image in the ‘about phone’ section that seems to show a OnePlus 6T instead of the new phone (thanks, Kunal!). We’re also unsure about the Weibo account where the images were posted, although it seems to regularly share early device details. In any event, you might want to wait for OnePlus to dish out details before smashing your piggy bank.
