The Note 4 has already arrived in South Korea and its international launch begins in October, making it a great time to be a Samsung Note fan. And now the first firmware has gone online as well, for model SM-N9106W, a Chinese variant of Samsung’s latest big-screened smartphone.

The build is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has the build number N9106WZNU1ANIF. While the firmware won’t be directly useful without a compatible Chinese Note 4 to go with it, these types of firmware ‘leaks’ are useful for extracting wallpapers, ringtones, APK files and more. If you’re not handy with this kind of thing yourself, don’t worry — it’s only a matter of time before the Android community jumps in and provides you with all sorts of goodies.

To download the firmware you’ll want to head on over to SamMobile.
