We’ve unofficially known about the Galaxy Note 3 Neo (aka Note Lite) for a while, but now it looks like Samsung is almost ready to fully take the wraps off the device. If a new report proves correct, at least one retailer has already prepared a pre-order page for the handset.

The news that retailers are preparing lists for the handset comes to us by way of SamMobile, who received a tip and several screenshots from an unnamed Belgian retailer. Reportedly the handset will be listed at a pre-order price of €599 — or $813.08 — in Europe. Considering this is supposed to essentially be a “lite” version of the Note 3, the pricing certainly doesn’t make sense but we imagine it’s more of a placeholder price and not the final asking price.

Although the retailer didn’t reveal official specifications for the handset, previous reports suggest we are looking at a 5.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, an 8MP camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD and a 3100 mAh battery. There’s also LTE, Android 4.3 and all the S-Pen features from the Note 3.

As for when the retailer’s pre-order page will go live, that’s less clear. Previously it was believed the handset wouldn’t be formally announced until MWC next month. This come could still be the case, though it’s really hard to say for sure.

So who exactly is the Note 3 Neo aimed at? We’d say the primary target are folks with older Android handsets (like the OG Note) that are looking for an upgrade, but not interested in jumping to the Note 3. Of course the actual pricing for the handset will need to be much more reasonable in order for the Note 3 Neo to make any sense. What do you think, provided that the pricing ends up being a fair amount less than the Note 3, would you be interested in the Galaxy Note 3 Neo or not?
