When Android 4.4 KitKat arrived on scene, we saw the Galaxy Nexus left out of the party, though unofficial efforts eventually brought the OS to the handset nonetheless. So now that Android 5.0 Lollipop is on its way out, you might be wondering if any Nexus devices will see their retirement this year.
Initially, Google’s announcement post only revealed the OS would arrive for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 10 and GPe devices. Thankfully since then we’ve learned that the Nexus 4 will also be included, and now it seems that the Nexus 7 (2012) isn’t being left out either. Part of the appeal of the Nexus family has been the promise of long-term, quick updates so it’s good to see Google keeping its promise for owners of the (little over) two year-old tablet.
For Nexus 7 (2012) owners, will the arrival of Lollipop be enough to keep you satisfied for a while longer, or are you considering upgrading to a newer tablet? Perhaps the Nexus 9?
