TL;DR
  • Motorola has confirmed which of its phones will be getting the Android 13 update.
  • The company has since doubled the list of phones that will receive Android 13.

Update: December 14, 2022 (12:54 AM ET): A Motorola support agent has confirmed on the company forum that Android 13 is now coming to at least 20 devices. You can view the full list over here.

Original article: August 19, 2022 (12:49 PM ET): Google’s Android 13 update went live earlier this week with Pixel handsets getting first dibs. While not available yet for most other Android devices (outside of OPPO devices), it soon will be and manufacturers are getting prepared. Among those manufacturers, Motorola has stepped up and confirmed a list of devices that will receive the awaited update.

As discovered by GSMArena, on Motorola’s security updates page, you can click on the “Select your product” tab, and below you will see the company’s product family. When you click on a specific product from here, some of the devices will have “Next OS” listed in the details.  Currently, there appear to be 10 devices in total that will get the Android 13 treatment including:

  • Motorola Edge (2022)
  • Motorola Edge Plus (2022)
  • Motorola Edge 30
  • Motorola Edge 30 Pro
  • Moto G Stylus 5G 202
  • Moto G 5G 2022
  • Moto G82 5G
  • Moto G62 5G
  • Moto G42
  • Moto G32

At the moment, there are no available dates that tell us when to expect Android 13 to come to these devices. However, when the day comes, the update will bring a few interesting additions like a revamped Material You design, native Bluetooth LE audio support, and a number of security and privacy updates.
