Motorola will put up the new Moto X on sale on its own website in just a few hours, but if you can’t wait, AT&T already has the Moto X (2nd generation) on pre-order.
AT&T is only offering pre-made versions of Motorola’s new flagship, meaning you will have to wait for Moto Maker to go online in order to get a customized version. Still, AT&T’s options are very attractive – you can choose between Black Resin (soft touch plastic), Black Leather, or Bamboo. From my brief time with these three options during IFA, they all look and feel amazing, though I especially liked the bamboo.
AT&T has the new Moto X for $99.99 on a two-year contract or for $526.99 unlocked, which is slightly higher than the $499 Motorola asks for its Pure Edition Moto X. You can also opt for paying for the device in 20 or 24 monthly installments of $26 or $22 respectively.
According to AT&T’s website, pre-ordered Moto X (2nd generation) will ship from September 23.
Motorola will offer the GSM (AT&T/unlocked) Moto X starting from 12PM EST today. Stay tuned.
