The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro was introduced earlier this year at MWC 2011, and has left Android QWERTY lovers waiting for some time. Thankfully, the phone has been confirmed to arrive in the UK starting on October 6th. As these things go, some lucky people usually get to spend some hands on time with the device before it hits the shelves. Check out the video below to see what the phone looks and handles like.

Just in case you need a refresher, here’s the specs:

  • 1GHz Snapdragon processor with the Adreno 205 GPU
  • slide-out QWERTY keyboard
  • a 3.7″ FWGA (854 x 480) scratch-resistant display
  • WiFi, DLNA, GPS, HDMI output, USB 2.0
  • 8 MP with LED flash Exmor R camera
  • front facing camera  atVGA camera
  • 8GB microSD memory card
  • Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread

The Sony Xperia Pro will be offered in three different colors, silver, black, and red. While certainly not the thinnest Android phone in the universe, some folks simply can’t go without a keyboard. Packing decent performance, an excellent camera, and a decent keyboard should mean this phone will find its own following.
