Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in China earlier this month, promising a variety of system-related improvements and fixes. We didn’t get global details at the time, but the manufacturer has now revealed information on its forum.

The company confirmed that the global version of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced will land on smartphones from Q4 2021. The initial list isn’t huge but consists of a variety of 2020 and 2021 flagships. You can check out the list below:

  • Mi 11
  • Mi 11 Ultra
  • Mi 11i
  • Mi 11X Pro
  • Mi 11X
  • Mi 10T Pro
  • Mi 10T
  • Mi 10 Pro
  • Mi 10

As a refresher, Xiaomi says MIUI 12.5 Enhanced brings several performance-related tweaks. One noteworthy claim is that system performance should drop by less than 5% after 36 months. There’s also a so-called Atomic or Atomized Memory feature that will let you keep more apps in the background.

Xiaomi noted at the time of the Chinese launch that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced also fixed 160 system issues and over 220 system app issues. So we’re guessing that most of these fixes will be coming to the global version of the Android skin too.
