Say goodbye to a past where business was confined to the four walls of an office. Technology has made it possible for us to be productive anywhere we go–outside the office, at home, or even at a coffee shop. But, since no person is an island, we often find ourselves needing to collaborate with other individuals from our field. Sometimes we’ll even need someone to provide us with a service requiring skills that we don’t have. As comprehensive as search engines can be, looking for the right people can be difficult. Thanks to Mingle, it’s now easier than ever to find and connect with professionals from all walks of life to get work done.

Mingle is a multi-platform, location-based app for Android- and iOS-powered devices. With a simple and easy user-friendly interface, Mingle becomes an ideal social networking platform that allows you to connect to your clients, employees, and employers on the go.

Previously only available on iOS, Mingle has finally made its way to Android. Professional networking is now possible wherever you go. Mingle opens up opportunities for professionals in your vicinity by introducing them to you. You don’t have to spend countless hours doing fruitless employee searches on the Internet. Just install Mingle on your Android device and you’re good to go.

To start using Mingle, you need an account on Facebook or LinkedIn. If you don’t have accounts on either of those sites, you can create a Mingle account right from the comfort of the app, and it’s for free.

Once you’ve logged in, introduce yourself. Provide details such as the main reason you’re using Mingle, your occupation, and your current location.  By providing the app with your preferences and requirements, it’ll allow Mingle to populate the three tabs at the top of the app. Find users Nearby, users who are Active, or take a leap of faith and check out the users in the Random tab.

You can check out the current job titles and locations of various users, to see which ones live closest to you or to check whose skills match your requirements. Once you’ve found someone whose skills match exactly what you’re looking for, tap on that contact’s username to start interacting.

You can send a question to the user of your choice and even view the user’s detailed profile, view the user’s contacts, and interact with the user more by sending virtual handshakes, an endorsement message, or even a smiley.

Without a doubt, Mingle will soon be every professional’s best friend to find other professionals, business people, or even students who’ll satisfy one’s collaborative and project needs.

If you’d like to start mingling with and finding professionals in your area today, get the Mingle app from the Android Market.
