While at IFA, the folks at Asus made their new lineup of tablets known to the world. For many, the MeMo Pad 8 will be the most attractive option, with its smaller profile. While the MeMo Pad 10 is also going to be a great option, we’ll focus on the little guy this time around.

ASUS has done a pretty good job here, answering a lot of requests folks have in regard to their tech. Things like an SD Card slot are included, and the quad core processor should help speed things along. Here is the full list of specs for the MeMo Pad 8:

  • Screen: 8.8-inch, 1280 x 800, backlit LED
  • Processor: 1.66 GHz Quad Core (type not specified)
  • Storage: 16GB on board storage, with a Micro SD Card slot
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Camera: 1.2MP front, 5MP rear capable of 720p video
  • Battery: 3950 mAh lithium polymer, up to 9 hours of HD video playback
  • Audio: Dual speakers with ASUS SonicMaster technology, microphone
  • Dimensions: 212.4 x 127.4 x 9.95mm, 350g

Asus also notes that there will be some nice cases available for the tablets at launch, which will protect the entire device, and prop it at an angle for viewing. The MeMo Pad 8 isn’t going to light the tablet world up, but for the right price, it could make quite an impact.
