Unlike smartphones, which are getting bigger and bigger even though you’d expect manufacturers to stop with the nonsense, wireless chargers don’t have any reason to be that big in the first place.

LG is ready to prove this point with its brand new WCP-300, a device that’s currently the world’s smallest wireless charger and will ship soon in various markets for 65,000 won, or around $60.

Just 6.98cm in diameter, the WCP-300 is compatible – via Qi wireless charging technology – with a variety of LG devices that come with wireless charging capabilities including the Nexus 4, the Optimus G Pro, the Optimus Vu 2 and the Optimus LTE 2.

We don’t have release dates for the WCP-300 yet, but LG does say that it will be available in South Korea, but also in the U.S. at some point in the future.

Have you purchased your wireless charger yet, or will you be waiting for the WCP-300?
