The LG G3 Mini’s current situation is a bit confusing. A G3 Mini moniker seemed like an obvious choice due to the LG G2 Mini being the predecessor. That is until the Korean manufacturer announced the LG G3 Beat, which was believed to be a G3 Mini replacement. Now we are getting leaks of yet another device said to be the G3′ small brother.
This one is named LG G3S and the leak comes from the popular @evleaks. He mentions the device is an LG G3 Mini variant with dual-SIM compatibility. There is even a rough draft of what could be the image of the upcoming device. It does look much like the LG G3, but we can’t say for sure if it will be identical or not… at least not from this image.
No other details are given with this leak, but we should expect a mid-end device, much like the G2 Mini was in its time. The LG G3 Beat does look like a promising mid-end smartphone, sporting a Snapdragon 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 5-inch 720p display and a 2540 mAh battery.
Let’s hope LG does the same for this version (or any others), regardless of what they decide to call them. I must say I wasn’t a big fan of the LG G2 Mini. In fact, I am not a fan of giving mid-end smartphones high-end names… period. I was especially not fond of the LG G2 Mini, though.
We are not sure when (or if) this device will make it to the market. After all, it’s nothing but a rumor. Leakster extraordinaire @evleaks may have his amazing reputation, but he is not always right. Don’t hold your breath on any of this information and stay tuned. We will let you know as soon as we get more details!
