Earlier this month LG announced that the G Pad 10.1 would be landing in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America during the month of July. At the time little was known about what retailers you’d find the tablet at, or for how much. Thankfully, we can now confirm that at least one retailer, Best Buy, is shipping the tablet in US for just $250. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to pick up the tablet from your local brick-and-mortar Best Buy location.

With a Snapdragon 400 CPU and just 1GB of RAM, the G Pad 10.1 is considerably less powerful than the original G Pad 8.3, but it’s also priced rather aggressively making it an interesting choice for those looking for a large-screened tablet without paying top-dollar to get it. Other specs for the tablet include a 10.1-inch display with a not-so-great resolution of 1280×800, 16GB storage, an 8000 mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

With it’s weaker SOC, relatively small amount of RAM and (by today’s standards) paltry display resolution, it’s clear that the device isn’t aimed at Android power users or gamers. Instead, this is an entry-level 10-inch device that you can pick up at a price point that’s more in-line with most mid-range 7-inch tablets.

Bottom-line, if you’re looking for a large display without paying a small fortune, the G Pad 10.1 fit your needs as long as you can overlook its weaknesses.
