LG confirms the G3 is to be released in the next few weeks

In fact, we may see the device even sooner than that. Since LG expects actual Q2 revenue from the release of the G3 then it means the release is coming before the end of June, in fact a May release is likely. Back in January, sources in the Korean media said that the LG G3 will be released sometime during May and this latest information from LG seems to confirm that.
The general consensus is that the device will keep the back-mounted buttons from the G2 and will feature a 5.5 inch QHD (1440×2560) display.

Of course, the full feature list will only be known once the G3 is officially launched, and there is still time for LG to tweak the specification. With phones like the OnePlus One and Galaxy S5 already using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 then maybe LG will switch to that processor, rather than the Snapdragon 800 as found in the G2. There was the possibility that the G3 would use LG’s own mobile processor, the octa-core ODIN chip, however a May release of the G3 makes that increasingly unlikely.
Are you hoping for a May release of the LG G3? What are you hoping the specs will be?
