KitKat update begins rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition LTE variant
Back in April Samsung started pushing out a KitKat update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, or at least the Wi-Fi only models. At the time, we believed it would only be a matter of time before the 3G and LTE versions followed suit. It seems that day has arrived, as the LTE has begun rolling out to the Nordic region. There’s no word on when other markets will receive the same update, though hopefully the wait is a short one.
As for what’s new here? Like we’ve seen with Samsung’s other KitKat updates for devices like the Galaxy S4 and Note 3, don’t expect a whole lot other then all the new KitKat features such as immersive mode, cloud printing, white status bar icons and tweaks that provide faster performance. As for Samsung-specific changes, there are at least some minor changes including enhanced sound controls for some Samsung apps, general stability improvements and a new camera shortcut on the lock screen.
If you live in the Nordic region, the update should be pushing out to you over the air anytime now, and it can even be grabbed through Samsung Kies for those that prefer not to wait any longer than the have to. For the rest of the globe? We’ll be sure to update you as soon as we learn more.
Have you received an update for your 3G or LTE Note 10.1 2014? If so, what country are you located in?
