According to a new blog post from Motorola’s Punit Soni, KitKat will soon make its way to Rogers and Fido Moto X users in Canada. Unlike previous Moto X KitKat updates in the United States, this update brings with it Android 4.4.2.

This means that aside from getting the power of KitKat, Canadian Moto X owners will have the privilege of getting the very latest version of Android. While Android 4.4.2 is mostly a minor update from 4.4, we imagine there are quite a few useful bug fixes both for KitKat in general and specifically for the Moto X.

So when exactly can Canadian users expect the update? While no exact date is given, Soni does say the rollout will begin sometime this week, though it could likely take a few days before it reaches all users in Canada. Interestingly enough, there has also been at least one report suggesting that Android 4.4.2 could also be on its way to Sprint Moto X owners sometime in the near future — though Motorola has yet to officially confirm this.

Any Fido or Rogers customers get the update yet? If so, let us know how the upgrade went via the comments below!
