How to insert a line in a Microsoft Word document
There are two main types of horizontal lines you can create using the Borders function within Microsoft Word. The first would be the classic Horizontal Line, which acts like a horizontal drawn line that you can click and drag into place.
The next would be the Bottom Border style of horizontal line. This, when placed, appears directly underneath where your cursor was on the document. It also acts like the underside of a bordered box, which you can maneuver around by adding or removing space around the page.
