Earlier this year we learned about the TalkBand, Huawei’s first attempt at a wearable device. Now according to Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu, the company is preparing for a second wearable that will be launched in 2015 with Android Wear. Keep in mind that the watch is still a ways off and we don’t know much about it, such as if it will be circular or square, though according to Yu, the smartwatch will be “more beautiful” than Samsung’s Gear S.

Considering that LG, Motorola, Asus and Sony already have smartwatches running Google’s platform, Huawei faces significant competition in the upcoming wearable market. In fact, as we covered earlier today, Motorola introduced the Moto 360 to good initial reviews. Of course, Huawei has a long history of making fairly decent devices with relatively aggressive price points, and so if they can deliver a watch with decents looks and a lower price tag then the competition, they could have a winner on their hands.

What do you think, would you be interested in a Huawei watch if the price were right?
