The Huawei Mate 9 will be available in Agate Red and Topaz Blue as well in China starting May 14. Everything else remains unchanged.
It’s been almost half a year since the Chinese electronics company launched its flagship, the Huawei Mate 9. Sporting a massive 5.9-inch Full HD screen, Huawei’s phablet boasts a dual 20-megapixel + 12-megapixel Leica camera setup and a whopping 4,000 mAh battery. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for all your selfie needs and is powered by an octa-core Kirin 960 processor.
While the device may not have the striking bezel-less design found on devices like the LG G6 or the Galaxy S8, it’s one of the best Huawei smartphones we’ve reviewed ever. And to make sure to keep buyers interested, Huawei has released two more color options for the device. In addition to the already existing Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, Ceramic White, Black, and the most recent Obsidian Black options, the phone now comes in Agate Red and Topaz Blue.
The new variants will be available for purchase in China starting May 14, and apart from the new paint job, everything else remains the same, including the price.

There is no information whether the new colors will be available in other markets as well, but we will be sure to keep you updated. It’s still a few months away until the Mate series sees an upgrade, so it seems Huawei is using Samsung’s signature move to maintain market interest by giving us more color options.
