HUAWEI Ascend P7 press image leaks to the web, handset to be unveiled at MWC

Earlier this week, HUAWEI released a new teaser video that, oddly enough, featured the iPhone and was meant to be a jab at Samsung and Apple. The teaser briefly mentioned two tablets and a handset with an “amazing front camera”. The later of these devices is believed to be their next flagship smartphone, the Ascend P7.
Although several rumors about the device’s specs have been floating around the web for a while now, an alleged press render of the device have now turned up as well. As you can see in the image above, the Ascend P7 offers a design language that’s fairly similar to its predecessor, and comes in at least four colors: pink, gold, white and black.
So what else do we know about the Ascend P7? Turning to the rumor mill, the handset is expected to feature a display somewhere between 5 and 5.5-inches with a 1080p resolution. Other specs include a 1.6GHz quad-core HUAWEI CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, Android 4.4 KitKat, a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP front camera (yep, the ‘amazing’ front camera mentioned in the teaser).
Considering the handset has yet to be officially unveiled, we don’t have very many details just yet when it comes to estimated ship date or what markets the handset will debut in. The good news is that we have less than a week before we find out some of these details, and our team will be on the scene at MWC to get the latest scoop.
