HTC One M8 updated with Eye Experience software, alongside Android 4.4.4

As well as unveiling the Desire Eye and RE Camera a couple of days ago, HTCalso promised that its new Eye Experience camera software improvements would be heading to existing HTCsmartphones. The HTCOne M8 appears to be the first to receive these new features, which are packed in with the Android 4.4.4 update currently rollout out across Europe.
The update is version 3.28.401.6 and comes in at 252.01MB. As Android 4.4.4 only offers a few minor fixes, the most notable new features will come from the Eye Experience software suite. Eye Experience features include face detection for video chat, split capture for front and rear cameras, and voice activated selfies.
If you are willing to do a manual installation, the update .zip file has already been uploaded to XDA. The HTCOne M8 OTA update is rolling out across Europe as we speak, with other regions expected to follow over the coming weeks, plus the usual delay for carrier branded handsets.
The One M7, One E8, One Mini, One Mini 2, One Max, Desire 816, Desire 820 and Butterfly 2 are also in-line for an Eye Experience update over the coming months.
