HTC M8 Ace image displays peculiar speakers

We had seen the HTC M8 Ace already, but never its front. The latest leak is showing us all the goods and there is something very odd about the M8 Ace!

The recently-leaked HTC M8 Ace gave us an idea of what the manufacturer could have in store for us. A plastic smartphone with curves, and possibly a lower price, could really shake up the market and give Samsung a run for its money. The device looked gorgeous in that image, but it didn’t give us a good look at the front, like this image does.

Our friend @evleaks has shed light on this new photo, which comes from TENAA (China’s telecommunications equipment certification center). The device doesn’t look as gorgeous this time, but these certification images never make smartphones justice. We would like to focus on another factor instead – those odd speakers.

Of course, it is always an advantage to see devices featuring BoomSound, HTC’s outstanding front-facing stereo speakers. These speakers look amazingly large compared to the HTC One M8, though. Could this be a media or music-centric smartphone? That definitely sounds like an enticing idea.

The look throws us off. I am willing to go as far as saying it makes the phone a bit ugly, but that is no more than my opinion. Having better sound would definitely make up for it.

Awaiting the Samsung’s contender

We are clueless when it comes to the M8 Ace’s specs, price or availability, but we have high hopes for it. We have expressed our opinion on HTC making more plastic smartphones in order to compete against Samsung. This continues to be the case, but I am not exactly sure if the HTC M8 Ace is really the champion we are waiting for.

By the looks of it, I am starting to feel this will be a mid-end device, instead. This is still in the rumor stage, so we can never say anything for sure. We will have to wait and see what HTC has planned for us.
