How to cancel LinkedIn Premium

If you don't need the extra features anymore, then you can follow these easy steps to cancel LinkedIn Premium.
February 1, 2023

A LinkedIn Premium subscription can be very useful at times. It’s a competitive job market out there, and any edge you can give yourself in finding the right position is worth considering. Perks include the ability to see who’s viewed your profile, as well as reaching out to people with whom you’re not connected. But paying at least $30 per month is no small outlay, especially if you’re between jobs or you’ve just landed a new position. You can make that shrewd saving by finding out how to cancel LinkedIn Premium right here.

How you go about doing this depends on how you purchased your Premium subscription. We’ll go over the standard way to do it on your browser and then get into any extra steps you might have to take with iOS and Android.

On the Profile dropdown menu on your LinkedIn homepage, select Access My Premium then Manage Premium Account. Go to Manage Subscription and press Cancel Subscription, then follow the prompts.

Canceling your LinkedIn Premium subscription takes a matter of seconds. Here are the steps to follow to do it on your web browser:

  1. While on your LinkedIn homepage, click on the profile icon near the top-right of the screen. It has the word ‘Me’ below it, as well as a dropdown arrow.
  2. The dropdown menu will present you with a number of options. Select Access My Premium.
  3. On the next screen, hit the Manage Premium Account button on the right rail.
  4. You’ll find yourself on the page showing your Premium subscription settings. Under Manage Subscription, press Cancel Subscription.
  5. You’ll be asked to provide a reason for canceling and if you’re sure you wish to proceed. Just press Continue to confirm your cancellation.

Once you’re done, you’ll retain the features of LinkedIn Premium until the end of the billing cycle, at which point you’ll be downgraded back to the free version.

This version of the cancellation process has to be conducted on the web version of LinkedIn — the mobile apps don’t have the facility to cancel your premium subscription entirely from within the app. Let’s look at what you can do to cancel on Android and iOS.
