To activate cellular service on your Galaxy Watch, open Watch Settings in the Galaxy Wearable app and tap Mobile plans.

How to activate cellular on your Galaxy Watch
- On your paired phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app.
- Tap Watch Settings, then tap Mobile plans. The app will scan for a network connection.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to complete your activation.
If you do not have an LTE model Galaxy Watch, Mobile plans will not appear in your Galaxy Wearable app.
How to connect to your cellular network
To connect to a mobile network, swipe down on your watch face to access your quick panel. Tap the Settings cog, then tap Connections. Tap Mobile plans to view what plans are available for your device.
How to check that you are connected
To check if your Galaxy Watch is connected, simply swipe down on your watch face. Your service indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

Yes. If you need to answer an incoming call on the wrist, you can always transfer the call to your phone by tapping the three dots, then tapping Switch to phone.
Galaxy Watches use Bluetooth to connect to your paired Android phone. The devices use LTE to connect to your cellular network.
That depends on how you intend to use your wearable. If you anticipate most often having your phone on hand, an LTE model may not be necessary.
