House hunting has never been so easier! Thanks to MyApartmentMap, a new Android apartment search app that lets people browse listings, view maps, and even search for and filter apartment rentals they are interested in—even without the presence of a computer!

The MyApartmentMap is the same as the website version, just more portable for anyone on the go. Through the app, users can search for apartment and rental listings; then filter each of them according to the information they need such as price, location, size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, whether they allow pets, and many more. Also, users can tap to view eligible listing through the top-down Google Map. A listing is another option which contains photos and comparisons of average rental units and their prices surrounding the same neighborhood. Finally, information on how to contact the owner or a rental company is available.

Apart from users who post their properties on MyApartmentMap, the app automatically copies listings from other sites such as Craigslist and This gives the user several choices and an accurate list of what properties are available. An apartment hunter’s checklist is also offered for those who have already found a place.

MyApartmentMap is free and can easily be downloaded from the Android Market. It is also available for iOS platforms.
