Google has launched a standalone to-do list app known as Google Tasks. The new app, spotted by 9to5Google, features Gmail and Google Calendar integration as well as cross-platform support.

Google Tasks lets users create tasks and subtasks which can be viewed, edited and managed on-the-go. These can be broken down into subtasks, given due dates with notification reminders, and created in-app or via Gmail or Calendar.

It features a light, drag-and-drop interface in keeping with what we expect from the “Material Design Refresh” and, in my brief time with it, displayed the ease-of-use Google apps are known for.

The new app is also considered a part of Google’s G Suite apps — almost guaranteeing support for it in the future.

Google has had a busy week, launching a new version of Gmail, while also rolling out additional podcast functionality for Google Search and Assistant. Good thing it has a dedicated tasks app to help it stay organized…

You can pick up the new Google Tasks app for yourself at the link below and give us your thoughts on it in the comments.
