There are many great Android apps out there and to help tablet owners, Google has launched a “Featured Android Apps for Tablets” page on the Google Play Store. Currently, there are 116 different apps to choose from, ranging from games to tracking your flights. These featured tablet apps are spread out over five pages with most totally free. Here are just a few:

  • Real Racing 3
  • Stitcher Radio
  • Accuweather
  • Temple Run
  • Angry Birds Space
  • Google Earth
  • TED

Since the introduction of the Nexus 7, Google has been working on getting developers to code more Android apps for tablets. While Google Play is still behind the App Store when it comes to tablet-optimized apps, this new page is a step in the right direction. Tablet owners now have an official resource to go to, which is sure to be updated with many more apps in the future, helping Google better compete with the likes of iOS.

Whether you’re just looking for some new games to play or want to stay updated with your favorite sports teams, Google has you covered. For other great Android tablet apps, you can check out these 13 must-have apps from our very own Simon Hill.
