Google+ live stream event announced for tomorrow morning

Taking to Google+, Vic Gundotra has now announced that a special Google+ 'update' event will take place tomorrow morning. Keep reading for more details!
October 28, 2013

Very early this morning Google’s Vic Gundotra sent out a G+ message saying that he was having trouble sleeping, and in the message he asked if Sundar Pichai was having a similar problem. As you can probably imagine, this led some folks to believe something big might be coming today.

Now Vic Gundotra is back again, this time revealing a live streaming event that will take place at 9:30AM PST tomorrow.

Before you get too excited, this event doesn’t look to have anything to do with the new Nexus or with Android 4.4 KitKat. Instead, the event will be called “A morning with Google+”, where the team will be sharing “a few updates” with us.

So what exactly does the Google+ team have in store for us? It’s hard to say for sure. Google is a master at teasing, but we don’t think they’d create a live streaming event unless they had something big to share with us.

Looking at the comments and connecting a few dots, we imagine that the announcement could possibly center around Hangouts, particularly SMS integration and how it is rumored that Hangouts will replace the stock Android SMS app. More than likely Google also has some other surprises up their sleeves, too. Of course that’s all speculation.

The G+ event could be about something completely different, but whatever the Google+ team ends up unveiling, Android Authority will be here to cover the event – so stay tuned! What do you think Google has in store for us tomorrow, any guesses?
