Deal seekers, you might remember that when Android Market rebranded to Google Play a few months back, the digital store had all sorts of music albums for sale for but a dollar. The latest deal doesn’t go as low, but we’re pretty sure you wouldn’t say no to buying music albums from some of the world’s greatest musicians for $2.99 a piece.

To celebrate phonograph’s birthday, Google is slashing the price of 50 classic albums that were released during the vinyl-era on the Play Store. Admittedly, this is music from artists that some of you may not have grown up with, but there’s a reason why they are considered legends in the music industry.

The list features the likes of Al Green, The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, and loads more. Check out the link to get a taste of what music sounds like back in the day.

As a side note, the deal, as is usually always the case, is only available for those in the U.S. Those lucky enough may want to hurry up and download these classic albums before the deal runs out!
