TL;DR
  • Google Pixel 7 Pro renders have leaked from a trusted source.
  • The phone looks a lot like the Google Pixel 6 Pro, but with some new camera sensors.
  • This is a very early leak since we don’t expect the phone to launch until October.

Every year, Google launches a new Pixel flagship, and every year we see it leaked earlier than the previous year. It looks like 2022 is going to be no different in that regard.

Expected to launch in October, we already have leaked renders for the Google Pixel 7 Pro. These renders come from reliable source Steve Hemmerstoffer (via Smart Prix).

Unsurprisingly, the phone looks a lot like 2021’s Google Pixel 6 Pro. There are some subtle differences, but it doesn’t appear Google is going to revamp its design ethos all over again in 2022.

Check out the renders for yourself below.

Right off the bat, you’ll notice the camera lenses look a lot different than what we saw on the Pixel 6 Pro. The lenses look a lot larger and are formatted in a slightly different fashion.

Do keep in mind that Steve Hemmerstoffer is a reliable leaker — but by no means infallible. He’s been off-the-mark before with camera lenses, so it’s possible this is not how the final module will look.

Outside of that, though, the overall aesthetic is mostly unchanged from last year’s model. Sizing is only slightly different, with the alleged Google Pixel 7 Pro dimensions being 163 x 76.6 x 8.7mm. When you compare that to the Pixel 6 Pro’s dimensions of 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm, you’ll be safe to assume the new model won’t feel much different than the current one.

What do you think of the leaked Pixel 7 Pro design?

The display looks to be incredibly similar as well, with the same curved sides and same centered selfie camera cutout. Specs will almost certainly be the same too since most premium flagships we’ve seen this year are just carrying over display specs from last year’s models.

What do you think? Is Google sticking with the 2021 design a good move or were you hoping for another big change? Let us know in the poll above.
