The Google Pixel 3 XL already has an unboxing video. Seriously.

I wonder how many people at Google are getting fired over this massive Pixel 3 XL leak?

TL;DR
  • A professional Google Pixel 3 XL unboxing video is already on YouTube.
  • The unboxing video doesn’t show us anything we haven’t already seen, but it’s still interesting to watch.
  • It’s unbelievable that we have an unboxing video of a flagship over a month before its launch.

By the time Google actually has its hardware event in October to formally launch the Google Pixel 3 XL, the audience will likely take the time to head to the bathroom. Why? Because anything Google announces will be old hat by that point.

After a slew of Pixel 3 XL’s hit the black market, anyone with $2,000 in their pocket could buy an unreleased, early version of the upcoming flagship. As such, we have seen pretty much everything there is to see of the device.

But we haven’t seen an unboxing video, at least until today.

A leaked image of the box contents of the Google Pixel 3 XL.

YouTube user Распаковываем just posted a two-and-a-half minute Google Pixel 3 XL unboxing video. There’s soft music in the background, a seemingly-professional hand model, and — of course — a brand new Pixel 3 XL and all its related accessories.

Check it out for yourself below:

As you can see from the video, the box contains the Google Pixel 3 XL (which looks way bigger than in the other leaked photos, but that might only be because of the size of the model’s hands), a set of wired USB Type-C earbuds, a USB Type-C cable, a headphone jack adapter, a USB Type-C to USB Type-A adapter, and a European-style wall plug.

After everything is unboxed, the video gives us some closeup shots of the Pixel 3 XL, so you can see with incredibly fine detail the enormous notch and chin that everyone universally loves (j/k).

There hasn’t been a smartphone leak of this magnitude since someone left an iPhone 4 in a San Francisco bar, and even then there was only one unit lost. The fact that there are dozens of Pixel 3 XL’s out there already is just crazy.
