Google Drive currently down for many users

If Google Drive isn't working for you right now, rest assured that you aren't the only one and that Google is aware of the issue.

While Google’s services tend to be very reliable, the reality of the web is that services sometimes go down. If you are having trouble using Google Drive right now, rest assured you aren’t alone.

Taking a look around Google+ and Twitter you’ll find comments that make it pretty clear that the service has been down for near an hour. The level of issues seem to range, however, with some folks (like myself) being able to access most private content but having trouble with shared folders, etc. Others can’t get Google Drive to load up at all, and some are able to use nearly everything — it’s just that Drive is loading VERY slowly.

The good news is that Google’s app status site confirms there is a disruption, which means Google is aware of the issue and it shouldn’t be too long before things are resolved.

So how about it, having trouble with Google Drive? Often times these types of outages effect more than one of Google’s services, so anyone having trouble with any other Google service?

Update: Things seem to be working on my end, though Google has yet to change its status page, so things may not be working for everyone just yet.
