The Google Camera app has been ported to the Snapdragon 855 versions of the Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e. The app brings HDR+, portrait mode, and the much-talked-about Night Sight mode to the new Samsung flagships.

The port was developed by an XDA Forums member and it seemingly works without major compromise (it even works with the Galaxy S10’s wide-angle lens). XDA provided some sample photos and it looks like both Samsung’s native camera app and Google Camera offer similar quality images. That is, until you get to portrait mode and Night Sight mode, where the Google Camera app is clearly superior.

The Google Camera app is a hot commodity at the moment thanks to its AI-based features. By default, however, it’s only compatible with the Google Pixel and older Nexus smartphones.
