T-Mobile has now received over 300,000 pre-registrations for the Galaxy S5

After Samsung took the veil of the Galaxy S5, we began to hear quite a few mixed opinions about Samsung’s latest member of the Galaxy S family. In particular, there were a large number of folks that were disappointed that the GS5 didn’t see a major hardware/software overhaul.
That said, not everyone seems to feel that way about the Galaxy S5. Earlier today, T-Mobile revealed that over 300,000 people have signed up for more information about the handset, making it clear that there are folks interested in learning more about the Galaxy S4’s successor.
Of course, “registering interest” isn’t the same thing as saying you absolutely want to buy the Galaxy S5. Not to mention that the numbers are likely inflated by the fact that registering for the GS5 enters you into a contest that gives you the chance to win a free Galaxy S5.
.@SievertMike THIS JUST IN! #GalaxyS5 pre-registrations at @TMobile now over 300K! HUGE! #uncarrier #breakup #unleash— Des (@askdes) March 6, 2014
Still, we have to admit this is a fairly high number, especially when you consider that T-Mobile is the smallest out of the four major U.S. carriers. The big question is how many of the people pre-registering actually plan to buy the handset if they don’t win it for free. Now that the dust has settled a little, what do you think of the Galaxy S5? Planning on picking one up or are you more interested in next-gen devices from Sony, HTC and LG?
