The Galaxy S4 rumors and leaks are just pouring in these days, so get ready for more details about Samsung’s 2013 flagship device.
After hearing straight from Samsung that the handset will not make it to MWC in Spain next month, a new report from Asia said earlier today that the South Korean giant will announce the device at a special U.S.-based Mobile Unpacked event set to take place in March. At the time, we speculated that the Galaxy S4 could hit stores in late March or early April in case the rumor turned out to be true.
Now, Sam Mobile provides more details on the Galaxy S4 release date, and it all seems to fall in line quite nicely with the former report.
The publication says that the handset – codenamed “Altius(J)” – will start shipping from week 16 of the year, or around April 15. That certainly makes sense if the product will indeed be unveiled in March.
Moreover, the Galaxy S4 will feature wireless charging and a 2600mAh battery according to the same source. The Altius will come in black and white initially, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see it in more colors later down the road.
We’re also going to remind you the rest of the rumored specs and features: 4.99-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, eight-core Exynos 5 Octa CPU, eight-core Mali-T658 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera with Full HD video recording, 2-megapixel front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Naturally, there’s no confirmation from Samsung for any of these leaks, whether we’re talking about announcements, release dates or specs and features, so be prepared to see more similar reports down the road.
